So I had an idea,
I had uncovered a genuine need in the recovery process of amputees that had not been fully serviced and left patients lacking in their recovery process.
I had a solution, the “Hydraujoint” a simple hydraulic powered resistance device that could be easily transported and could be used by any below knee amputee.
I had to tell someone..
I spoke to the top orthopedic surgeons in the Centres I was associated with through my own amputation.
I met with some of the Board members of the NZALB and the NZ Amputee Assosiation.
There advice was priceless.
Following my meetings with surgeons and Limb Boards I put myself back to school first at Ucol…
After completing a course in business management I joined a group with the local council body called Vision Manawatu.
Vison Manawatu has a huge amount of contacts across a broad range of businesses.
They soon put me in touch with a professor at Massey University who in turn completed one of the Literature reviews I have posted on my site at www.hydraujoint.com
